Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon Seeks On-Course and Post-Race Entertainment
Empire State Marathon is accepting submissions for entertainers to perform at on-course locations at the start/finish lines of the 2nd Annual Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon on Oct. 21, 2012.
Entertainment acts of all kinds are needed, such as upbeat, rock/pop bands; cheerleading groups; and high school or college drum lines and color guards. Other possible entertainers include mimes, dancers, mascots, DJs, jugglers, clowns and drill teams.
“We take a lot pride in providing an unforgettable experience for everyone involved with our event,” said Brian Collins, principle owner of Achieve Fitness, LLC, management company for the Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon. “We’re excited to present performers who not only entertain, but also add inspiration and motivation to the race day atmosphere.”
Complete details are available by e-mailing entertainment@empirestatemarathon.com. Bands interested in performing must send complete contact information, links to videos on YouTube or their website, and a sample song list to the same e-mail address by Aug. 31.
